Now fulI story : I was with my colleague, Einar, were traveling from Trondheim in mid Norway to Bømlo in southwest of the country. We went by car which takes about 12 hours driving (without stopping) but as we stopped to have some rest we couldn't managed to drive the whole route in one day. The road was really beautiful, everywhere was new for me. Although, Einar as a Norwegian already had seen all the places, especially because he is a field geophysicist and also a climber but he told me he also enjoying to see these incredible nature again and again. I was amazed by very attractive landscapes, long waterfalls, high mountains and beautiful rivers. We didn't have enough time to stop in every touristic places but believe me or not it was like a live discovery channel for me.

  • www.aziznasutiphotography.com Munkholmen (Norwegian: the monk's islet) is an islet north of Trondheim, Norway. It sits in the Trondheimsfjord about 1.3 kilometres (0.81 mi) northwest of the island of Brattøra and the mouth of the river Nidelva. The islet has served as a place of execution, a monastery, a fortress, prison, and a World War II anti-aircraft gun station. Today, Munkholmen is a popular tourist attraction and recreation site. In the years prior to the founding of the city of Trondheim in 997 by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, Munkholmen was used as an execution site by the Jarls of Lade. The arrival of Olav Tryggvason to Norway in 995 coincided with a revolt against Haakon Sigurdsson, who was killed by Tormod Kark. The severed heads of both Haakon and Kark were placed on stakes on Munkholmen facing out into the fjord to serve as a warning to visitors. Legend has it that before entering Trondheim, visitors were made to spit on these heads as a tribute to King Olav I of Norway. The tradition of displaying the severed heads of criminals and political opponents was continued for some time, but the heads were now placed so that they faced the city of Trondheim to deter its citizens from committing crimes.(Wiki)

  • One of my favourite thing in Norway is its long days in the summer time. Here you can see the sunset in Ekne around 11 Pm. The very good thing about summer sunsets are their duration which last about one hour or more. I personally like this photo because of its composition. I would like very much to thank my very best friend Hessam for helping me in editing this photo. He is not only a good friend but also a talented photographer.

  • One morning when I was going to my work office at Geological Survey of Norway, I saw a fantastic sunrise close by my office. In fact my working place located close enough to Trondheim fjord . Anyway, I had my camera with me and couldn stop myself not to go and take some shots. I went down to the coast and I already impressed by the unusual winter strong colors. I put the camera on the tripod and went as close possible to the waves. I was little bit scared as well because I am not a good swimmer
Anyway, I managed to get some very nice shots when I was standing still at least for 2-3 minutes.

  • I have been in a geophysical field work to Bømlo in the South-Western Norway in the way to this place we crossed the very beautiful mountains and nature of South-Central Norway. Here you see Vøringfossen Waterfall. Vøringfossen is the 83rd highest waterfall in Norway on the basis of total fall. It lies at the top of Måbødalen in the municipality of Eidfjord, in Hordaland.
